AGS "Ideal" Princess Cut Diamond
An "ideal" cut diamond is one which has been cut to maximize brilliance and overall appeal. The ideal cut round diamond has been established for many years, but there has been little agreement as to what constitutes an "ideal" princess cut. After extensive research, the AGS (American Gemological Society Laboratories) has defined the "AGS Ideal" princess cut. This grade is based on a number of factors including proportions, finish, and light return. The AGS is the first major laboratory to define the ideal cut for the princess cut diamond. Maintaining the highest of gemological standards is the signature of the AGS, and it has earned the reputation for being one of the most highly respected gemological labs in the trade. The average consumer can now feel confident that their princess cut diamond is of the highest quality if it is certified as "ideal" by the AGS.
