The first thing we do when we design a custom ring is to determine the types of stones and material we will use in the piece of jewelry. Our customer above chose a 2.45 ct. purplish blue sapphire and two .20 ct. pink sapphires. We then take some time to discuss what designs will work best with the materials and most importantly, the tastes of the person who will wear the piece. This is the most important part of the process.
